Scientific contextAG490 is a selective inhibitor of JAK2/3 and EGF receptor tyrosine kinase. It also inhibits the downstream activation of STAT5a/b. AG490 is cell permeable and is a valuable tool for studying the cellular role of JAK kinases in signal transduction.
